Having been a makeup artist for years, it’s pretty understandable why I would be looking for the best duochrome eyeshadow palettes, mono duochrome eyeshadows, and other multichrome eyeshadow palettes. There’s something magical about holding a crazy beautiful color shifting eyeshadow in your hand, and something even more attractive about actually applying it onto someone’s eyelids.

In this guide to the best duochrome eyeshadow palettes and multichrome eyeshadow singles, I will be mentioning quite a lot of indie makeup brands that make pressed multichrome eyeshadow like no other.
The prices vary greatly; usually, indie makeup companies take a lot of time to make the best duochrome eyeshadow possible, and the prices can go up very quickly. But they’re definitely worth it when you see the end result.
I have my own favorite duochrome eyeshadow brands, to be honest, but if you’re new to the duochrome slash multichrome eyeshadow scene, you should definitely take the time to discover them all!
I have a passion for foreign makeup brands; as such, you will find makeup companies from all over the world, from Polish makeup brands to American makeup companies and more – all that’s left to do is discover them all!
Best Duochrome Eyeshadow Palette: Danessa Myricks Transcendence
The Danessa Myricks Lightwork IV Transcendence eyeshadow palette is one of the most stunning, incredible, and breathtaking duochrome eyeshadow palettes you’ll ever see in your life. Heck, I know that’s the case for me.
It retails for a whopping £137.50, but I honestly think that the number of stunning pressed multichrome eyeshadow colors you’ve got in this Danessa Myricks palette is otherworldly.
I’d go as far as saying it’s one of the most interesting multichrome eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever seen, with four different finishes in the Transcendence palette.
Velvet Chromes, Glass Metallics, Pressed Chromatic Flakes and Aqua Chromes are all to be applied differently, and all give a stunning multichrome or duochrome effect depending on the color.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: JD Glow Cosmetics
JD Glow Cosmetics is one of the most famous indie makeup brands in terms of color shifting eyeshadow colors, especially due to their presence on social media and their really affordable prices.
Located in Louisiana, the American makeup brand established by two best friends creates stunning Galaxy Shadows that retail between $7.75 and $8.25 each, making the JD Glow Cosmetics duochrome eyeshadows some of the cheapest in this guide.
JD Glow Cosmetics was created in 2015, and from this moment on, they’ve released amazing ranges of lip gloss, liquid matte lipsticks, and everything from ultra metallic eyeshadow to duochrome eyeshadow collections.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Corazona Makeup
Corazona Makeup is one of the most underrated Spanish makeup brands, and you can notably find it on the famous makeup shopping website Maquibeauty. I’ve only discovered Corazona Makeup a few weeks ago, but if you’re looking for a more affordable option when it comes to duochrome eyeshadows, they’re perfect.
The Corazona Makeup pressed duochrome eyeshadows are some of the most stunning around for just €9.99 and have six colors that range from purple blue to blue green and a beautiful red to bronze.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: Lethal Cosmetics
Lethal Cosmetics is an indie German makeup brand established in 2017, and if you’re looking for crazy pigmented pressed multichrome eyeshadow, then that’s one of the brands you should go for. The colors of the Lethal Cosmetics multichrome eyeshadows are very different from anything you might expect from indie makeup brands.
Priced at £14 each, the Lethal Cosmetics multichrome eyeshadows range from pink to green, ice pink to blue, red to gold and olive green, or purple to teal. These are some inventive colors that I have never seen anywhere else, and if you’re looking for duochrome eyeshadow brands, take it up a notch with Lethal Cosmetics, really.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: Juvia’s Place

I first came across the Tammy Tanuka duochrome and multichrome eyeshadow collections on Etsy a few years ago, and it is one of the indie makeup brands that make the best duochrome eyeshadows on the market at the moment.
Tammy Tanuka is really an underdog on the makeup scene, a Russian makeup brand that crafts the most exquisite duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows for a really affordable price. They last a really long time, and Tammy Tanuka offers one of the biggest collections of color shifting eyeshadows on the market – you’ll really find anything you might wish for in this brand.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: Devinah Cosmetics
I might be wrong, but in my opinion, it is Devinah Cosmetics that created the duochrome eyeshadow trend. Based in Oregon, the American makeup brand was established a few years ago and took the world by storm with inventive color shifting eyeshadow colors that are currently priced between $12 and $17 each.
That’s one of the best indie makeup brands if you’re looking for a huge range of duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows, and that’s a fact. You’ve got some of the most magical eyeshadows in the Devinah Cosmetics brand, from red to black, purple to gold, olive to red, and light pink to light blue…
The pigmentation of the Devinah Cosmetics duochrome eyeshadows is stunning, and since they are pressed eyeshadows, it makes them that much easier to work with, especially if you’re a beginner.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Kristen Leigh Cosmetics
Kristen Leigh Cosmetics is mostly famous on Etsy, where she sells amazing pressed duochrome eyeshadows, although the brand also has a self-standing website.
The eyeshadows are some of the priciest in terms of multichrome eyeshadows in this guide, but they are also utterly unique. And since they were brought to life by a former makeup artist, you can easily understand how they can be so beautiful.
For instance, the Tenacious eyeshadow has lots of color shifting hues, from turquoise to peach and pink, and the Feisty eyeshadow is a duochrome that oscillates between bright green and muted purple.
All the Kristen Leigh Cosmetics eyeshadows are cruelty free and vegan, with the exception of some purples and pinks which might contain carmine, and they roughly range between £16 and £18 for each eyeshadow.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Hean Makeup
Hean has always been one of my favorite Polish makeup brands – if you’re not acquainted with Polish makeup, just know that the makeup brands in Poland are utterly pigmented, longlasting, and incredibly cheap.
And Hean Makeup is no different – I actually started out in makeup with some of their duochrome eyeshadows which were priced around £2 or £3 back in the day. It’s another one of the makeup brands you can find on Maquibeauty, which carries the full collection of Hean makeup products.
Pictured above are some of the glitter eyeshadows by Hean Makeup, but they do have quite a few other rose gold eyeshadows and other duochrome eyeshadow colors as part of their regular collection. Definitely one of the best value makeup brands in this guide if you’re looking to start out and don’t have a big makeup budget.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: Neve Cosmetics
Neve Cosmetics is one of my favorite Italian makeup brands, and that’s a fact. It is one of the indie makeup brands I started doing makeup with, and I have ended up with amazing pictures from my photoshoots using their duochrome eyeshadows.
Neve Cosmetics used to have a completely Duochrome eyeshadow palette that isn’t available to purchase anymore, but they do have all the duochrome eyeshadows available as singles.
Anyway, the Neve Cosmetics palettes are all made in such a way that you can pop out the pans, so that really isn’t going to make much of a difference.
They also carry a good range of multichrome and duochrome eyeshadow colors in their loose eyeshadow collection. The Neve Cosmetics loose pigments are some of the most unique as well, from green to black, teal to gold with Pixie Tears, or white to pink and gold with their famous Jellyfish eyeshadow.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Clionadh Cosmetics
Created by two sisters in Canada back in 2016, Clionadh Cosmetics is one of the reference indie makeup brands for extremely pigmented duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows. All the products are handmade, cruelty free and vegan, so if you’re looking for the best vegan makeup brands for duochrome eyeshadows, you’ve got it with Clionadh Cosmetics.
The Clionadh Cosmetics multichrome eyeshadows are some of the most expensive around, with some bundles easily reaching £300. Yes, but these are some of the highest quality duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows you’ll find in this guide, and they hold up their part of the deal very clearly. My favorites? Crown Jewel, Bloodline, and Royalty, all part of the Vibrant Multichrome eyeshadow range.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Karla Cosmetics
Karla Cosmetics is an indie UK makeup brand that was made famous on social media, and it’s easy to understand why – the brand makes some of the most stunning color shifting eyeshadows you’ll ever see.
They’re also much pricier than most makeup brands I’ve talked about in this guide so far, with the Karla Cosmetics multichrome eyeshadows priced around £20.99 for most colors. However, the eyeshadows are super buttery, and you can also find other types of multichrome makeup products on the Karla Cosmetics website.
For instance, you’ve got multichrome gel eyeshadow, which was launched on the market for the first time by Karla Cosmetics. You’ve also got some of the most stunning pastel duochromes, which I am yet to see anywhere else and in my opinion, this level of creativity deserves every penny.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: XX Revolution
XX Revolution is one of the brands owned by Revolution alongside I Heart Makeup and Revolution, and they’ve got some of the most affordable duochrome eyeshadow colors you’ll see in this guide. Actually, more than simple duochrome, they’re actually stunning liquid and loose pigments that make for incredible multichrome eyeshadows.
You’ve got two ranges:
- the ChromatiXX eyeshadow pots (£14)
- the XXCharged duochome liquid eyeshadow
The ChromatiXX Duochrome pigment posts are available in six colors, and like the rest of the XX Revolution makeup products, they’re completely vegan and cruelty-free. You’ve got bronze to pink, pink to purple, blue, gold and green, and gold to olive green in some of the color stories in the ChromatiXX duochrome – or should I say, multichrome eyeshadows.
The XXCharged Liquid duochrome eyeshadows are available in four colour shifting eyeshadow colors; steel blue, pinky purple, bronze and green, and they’re also vegan and cruelty free. These are some of the duochrome eyeshadow products I’d go for because hey, who doesn’t like easy-to-apply makeup?

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: Nabla Cosmetics
I owned almost all the Nabla Cosmetics duochrome eyeshadow colors at some point, before the collections released by the Italian makeup brand started being too overwhelming compared to how much makeup I had. The duochrome eyeshadows from Nabla Cosmetics retail for €9.90 on the official website, and you can also find them on BeautyBay.
In addition, while Nabla Cosmetics has not released complete duochrome eyeshadow palettes, you will still find some really highly pigmented duochromes and multichromes in each of their palettes, which are some of the best eyeshadow palettes on the market in my opinion.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow Palette: BellaBeauteBar
Oh my God, I just couldn’t wait to tell you about Bella Beaute Bar – this is clearly one of the best indie makeup brands around if you’re looking for the most spectacular duochrome eyeshadow and multichrome eyeshadow palettes.
The price is steeper than a lot of other makeup brands in this guide, that’s true, with their famous Angles of Illumination palettes priced at $69. Yes, but – in each of the duochrome eyeshadow palettes, you’ll find lots of duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows that have been worked and reworked in such a way that the color shifting eyeshadows are simply otherworldly.
The newly released Angles of Illumination palette Volume 3, specifically, is one of the most beautiful duochrome eyeshadow palettes you’ll ever see. It pops on dark skin tones perfectly with eyeshadows that shift from purple to gold, green to black and teal to dark purple.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow Palette: Pink Crush Cosmetics
The Pink Crush Cosmetics brand is an indie makeup brand that has notably risen to fame with the Phenomena eyeshadow palette. Priced at $43.95 for 12 incredible duochrome eyeshadow colors, it features unique color stories.
In the Pink Crush Cosmetics Phenomena palette, you’ve got duochrome eyeshadows that go from pink to green, light blue to green, teal to purple, and pink to gold. This is a decently priced duochrome eyeshadow palette, really, if you like supporting independent makeup companies and are looking for the creamiest and the best duochrome eyeshadows.
Best Duochrome Eyeshadow: ProGlitz
ProGlitz is an independent British makeup brand that creates amazing duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows in lots of amazing collections. It offers some of the most affordable duochrome eyeshadow pigments as well, since all the loose eyeshadows are priced at £11.99.
Founded by an ex-makeup artist, ProGlitz offers different ranges that either focus on true duochrome eyeshadow, multichrome eyeshadow colors, or multichrome loose pigments that also incorporate tiny teeny glitter. One of the most magical indie makeup brands for whoever wants to find incredible color shifting eyeshadow of all types of duochrome and multichrome.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow Palette: Delanci Tender Night Palette
I mentioned the Delanci Tender Night palette in my complete guide to the best Delanci eyeshadow palettes, and the Tender Night palette is probably one of the cheapest options if you’re looking for duochrome eyeshadow – it costs about $8 on Amazon.
I owned the Delanci Tender Night eyeshadow palette years ago – this was actually my first ever duochrome eyeshadow palette from the brand. In the palette, you’ve got 5 duochrome eyeshadows that range from purple blue to green gold and a stunning color shifting MAC Blue Brown dupe as well.

Best Duochrome Eyeshadow Palette: MBA Cosmetics Iridescent Bubbles Palette
MBA Cosmetics is probably one of the most famous indie makeup brands that create duochrome eyeshadow palettes and single duochrome eyeshadows as well. In particular, the MBA Cosmetics Iridescent Bubbles duochrome eyeshadow palette is one of the most breathtaking makeup products in the entire range.
Priced at $44 for 12 eyeshadows of 1.6 g each, the MBA Cosmetics Iridescent Bubbles duochrome eyeshadows offer incredible opaque and iridescent colors. In addition to the original Sugar Drizzle Polish eyeshadow palette which boasts some of the craziest duochrome eyeshadows around, Sugar Drizzle also offers plenty of other duochrome and multichrome eyeshadows in different formats; single eyeshadows, liquid eyeshadows, and liquid multichrome cream flakes.
Located in North Carolina, Sugar Drizzle Polish is one of the most underrated indie makeup brands, and it is really the original Sugar Dizzle duochrome eyeshadow palette that crowds love. And how could we not? The palette features 12 stunning duochrome eyeshadows of 1.8 g each at a great price of $42.95.
In the palette, you can find really unique, super buttery duochromes and multichromes. In addition, all the other Sugar Drizzle Polish eyeshadow palettes, from the Sequel to the Sugar to Sugar Dreams and the Butterfly palette all feature to some extent amazing duochrome eyeshadows.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: By Beauty Bay
By Beauty Bay has released a few stunning duochrome eyeshadow colors in their liquid crystal eyeshadow collection, called the Trio Chrome collection. For anyone looking for stunning duochrome eyeshadows that won’t budge, I’d say By Beauty Bay is one of the best vegan makeup brands to get them from.
Retailing at $17 for two stunning duochrome eyeshadow colors (green to gold and purple to blue duochrome eyeshadows) and a wonderful silver chrome eyeshadow, the Trio Chrome collection is probably one of the best choices for someone on a budget looking for the best duochrome eyeshadows at a fair price.

Best Multichrome Eyeshadow: Terra Moons Cosmetics
Terra Moons Cosmetics is one of the most interesting indie makeup brands to follow if you’re looking for extreme multichrome eyeshadows. There are a lot of multichrome and duochrome eyeshadows to choose from in the Terra Moons Cosmetics range, and with a price of £17 for each pressed multichrome, it’s a brand on the more expensive side of the spectrum.
Yes, but it’s also one of the indie makeup brands that is completely handmade and cruelty-free, and the extreme multichrome eyeshadows are unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Even if you’re a devoted makeup addict, I promise.
